Brake and Lamp Inspection

Starting June 27, 2024, a new inspection will take over the current Brake and Lamp Inspection. This will be called: Vehicle Safety System Inspection. The current brake and Lamp Inspection will officially end, September 27, 2024

If you purchase a vehicle in California that has been deemed by the Insurance Company as a total loss and this vehicle is purchased back or by someone else.

 This would be considered a “Reconstructed Vehicle”. 

In order to put a vehicle back on the road it would need to have a Brake and Lamp inspection by a CERTIFIED facility.
